Meet the Team

Kristin White has been a boarding and day school admissions counselor for the past twenty years and has successfully worked with hundreds of families on their private school admissions journeys. She got her start in the field by working with an access to education program where she helped students apply to boarding schools and also visited and helped them through these important years. She went on to become an independent educational consultant in 2005, working with families from all over the world, including 23 different countries, many states, and in her local area.

Kristin is also the Director of Secondary School Counseling at a K-8 independent school in Fairfield County, CT. In this role, she works with 8th graders and their parents, helping them through the independent day and boarding school application process, and she networks with admissions deans at schools in her area and across the country. She enjoys working with students and helping them to identify their interests and passions as they put their best foot forward in the school admissions process. Kristin has a calm and encouraging demeanor and is a helpful resource for both parents and students.

She is a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and serves on the Schools Committee. She has written three education books, one of them in its second edition. Kristin is an expert on boarding schools and their admissions processes, and is the author of the book, “Prep: The Parents Guide to Boarding Schools,” published by Bloomsbury in 2025.
